How to Make Yourself Happy - Follow These Suggestions
If you are trying to have more happiness in your life then this is the right article for you. The first thing you need to do is stop trying and instead choose to have more happiness, not just try for more happiness. If you are unsure how to do that than try one or all of the following suggestions. They have worked for me and many other people and they will work for you.
Laugh
Laughter is an amazing way to get to a higher level of happiness. Laughter is therapeutic and can increase your health as well as happiness. And they good news is that it is free and you already know how to do it. Find things that make you laugh and watch them. Watch your favorite sitcom on Hulu, search YouTube for hilarious videos, ready the comics, etc. It does not matter how you do it just start laughing. And if you laugh so hard you cry then all the better.
Hug someone
Human touch is so important for our well being. Often we are lacking happiness because we are lacking human touch. To stay healthy and happy you should be getting a minimum of at least 6 hugs a day, and that is a bare minimum. The more hugs you get and give the happier you will be. When seeing friends don't shake their hands hello, give them a hug, you will both be happier for the physical interactions. It is simple but very effective.
Touch the earth
One thing too many people have lost touch with is the earth and the healing power of the natural energy in the earth. Touching the earth can be very powerful and increase your happiness. The natural electric energy in the earth can remove all of the electromagnetic toxins we pick up during the day from our computers and phones, etc. Removing these toxins can significantly increase your happiness. So touch the earth with bare skin, walk through the grass barefoot, hug a tree, etc. Just make sure it is your skin touching something natural grounded in the earth, the effect is wonderful.
Hit the Gym
It is all about the endorphins. When you work out it increases your body's level of chemicals that make you feel good and be happy. It is a natural byproduct of working out and can significantly increase your level of happiness. You also get the added bonus of working on improving your physical self, which will help with self-esteem, which also can increase happiness. It is a double bonus.
Be Grateful
The last suggestion for helping to increase happiness is to start being grateful for what you have. We often do not feel happy because we think there is something else out there that we want and therefore are unhappy because we don't have it.
Ok, so you don't have it, that does not mean you can't be grateful for what you do have. Do you have a roof over your head, did you eat something today, do you have someone in your life that cares about you, did you find a penny on the ground? These are all things to be grateful for. Stop focusing on what you do not have and instead be grateful for everything you do have. It makes a huge difference in your level of happiness.
Happiness is something that you can manifest in your life if you just work on it. The five steps discussed here can get you to more happiness, you just have to want to have more happiness and take action. The choice and the power is yours, act on it and enjoy the increased happiness.
